The forum in which all human experience resides. Especially for fans of the now-deceased original Hall of the Wendigo. Still Number One with the core demographic.
Best news yet. I think they should show us the rained off match/impromptu Cliff concert for that 'chin up, smile through the tears' spirit, and then put a long film like Dr Zhivago on so we can all enjoy an afternoon nap.
I've never forgiven them for making it difficult to get to an appointment I had in Hammersmith in June 2014.

Couldn't they have simply played with no crowd watching? The TV audience would have been far bigger than usual and Sue Barker could have kept the nation entertained should we still happen to be in lockdown by then. But then I guess like Olympians the tennis players won't have trained properly beforehand, even if this is "all over" by that point.

I would think some very expensive private doctors who rely on their reputations in elite sporting circles have told their clients "not on my watch". It would take just one of them to spread it around in transit or once back home to finish off more than a few lucrative careers. The insurance for staffing at Wimbledon itself might even/would probably be invalidated if they let anyone staff a match or play tennis against professional medical advice.
Maybe Sue could just settle down in front of a dodgy camera, on her sofa at home, and take her top off talk about tennis for several days. With random outbursts of Cliff to divide the schedule into chapters and 'time for the weather where you are' updates.

We should write to them with our suggestion. I hope you're holding up there in the West Midlands!
As keen gardeners we'll all have to try and do our bit to make sure all these garden centres and flower companies that brighten our lives and streets, and offer the nation the gentle exercise and peaceful meditation involved in tending to plants, don't go bust.
It took me until about half an hour ago to figure out what was really amiss when I entered the supermarket earlier (aside from the masked queues etc). No flowers. That big stand at the front was totally empty.
