As we all know, the site's search function is rubbish.

Therefore, I've been dedicating massive amounts of thought to the issue and this seems to be the best solution. Google "site:hallofthewendigo.forumotion.com" and then add the term or word you're searching for.

For example, if you want to find posts containing the word, "Frog," type "site:hallofthewendigo.forumotion.com frog" into Google. with any luck, Google's search results will come up with the goods. It's the prefix "site:" that makes the magic work.

That's what 'Search Google' has always done on the advanced search screen.

How do you get to that Google search in an advanced search?

But thanks for that info Wendi - I'm wondering if this thread should be made a sticky so one can refer back to it easily.

The old forum had a great search function, better than most other forums I've ever been part of, allowing one to search for simple worlds and names over those 10 years.

Click the green Search tab at the top of the page, by the FAQ tab.

Click, "Advanced Search."

Click, "Search Google."

Oh yeah, thank you. I've only ever used the visible top right search bar thingy before.
