We all know that Rock and Roll is the sound of rebellion but even posh people can rebel and here's where we can post the posh bands we have stumbled across.
Here's my current nomination. Dream Academy, AKA Nick Laird Clowes, Gilbert Gabriel and Kate St. John.
I feel like I'm too common to even deserve to watch them speaking.

What was that band that did the soundtrack for every M&S food advert in the last three years?
Tame Impala?
Cool Bandit?
Sweaty Wombat?

The Floyd were fairly posh.
Despite being mostly from Cambridge they were sorta Townies (having not gone to the University), but nevertheless, at the very least, they were awfully awfully middle class.

A prime example of this is Lana Del Ray who has had several failed pop incarnations before she finally found inexplicable with her current Nancy Sinatra persona. All these were funded by her rich father and the security of never having to earn a wage meant she could just keep going.
