I had sleep paralysis, last night, for the first time since I was 18.

I was just nodding off to sleep, on my side, when I felt a weight suddenly pressing down on my hip, which then spread to the rest of me, like someone was lying on top of me, even though they weren't.

For a few seconds, I couldn't move but then I managed to cast it off with my good old standby of concentrating on moving my little finger.
