Lots of people dance to Wuthering Heights in Sheffieldshire's glamourable Park Hill estate.

Sheffieldshire's groundbreaking new £75m tram-train service was launched today, linking the centre of Sheffield with the centre of Rotherham and ushering in a thrilling new era of public transport. Excited

Within hours, a lorry crashed into it and derailed it. gaah

Air Force One spotted in Sheffield: how UK enthusiast revealed Trump's Iraq trip

Alan Meloy photographed distinctive plane in skies over Yorkshire on Boxing Day

The Sheffieldshire thread 918

The US military had not reckoned with a planespotter from the suburbs of Sheffield, who took a photograph of the president’s plane in the sky over Yorkshire and inadvertently helped to break news of the flight to the Middle East while Trump was still in the air.

I heard a Sheffieldshire joke today:

Wendi takes her poor sick cat to the vet's. 'My cat's not very well,' she tells him.

'Is it a tom?' asks the vet.

'No, I brought it with me, tha daft b*gg*r,' Wendi tells him.

Sheffield city centre looked thrilling in the rainy distance as I passed on the M1 earlier today. You could just about make out the silhouette of some tall towers.

Sheffield always looks thrilling when I drive past on the M1. Because you never know where in the landscape Wendi might be lurking.

Well even at the reduced 60mph through Sheffield I think it would be more of a messy slight slowing rather than a full stop.

sad yes

I don't think Sheffield ever looks thrilling as I drive past it on the M1. Colbert

This has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that I've never been near Sheffield and can't drive. Colbert
