I hope he arrived in his ute. I don't know how Harold Bishop could be in it though, wasn't he washed into the sea by a big wave, never to be seen again? _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| He reappeared, several years later, alive but with amnesia.
And then he recovered from his amnesia. _________________ |

I don't know how Harold Bishop could be in it though, wasn't he washed into the sea by a big wave, never to be seen again? It took me years to make the connection between 'ute' and 'utility vehicle'. I couldn't understand why only Australia had 'utes' and yet they looked roughly similar to things we see here. I know I'm not alone in that because I can recall having conversations with friends, or at school, where we all shared our confusion about what a ute was - or rather, we knew what a ute was, because it's clearly a ute, but why is it called a ute? At one point an Australian boy joined our class, and among the many essential questions he had to answer (mainly involving what was coming up in Neighbours later that year - when he said he didn't watch it, most people decided he was too much trouble to bother befriending) was 'what is a ute?'. I think he said 'well, it's a ute'. Very helpful. Probably two decades of wonder before the mystery was solved. Anyway, I'm off to watch the final episode. The Guardian gave it a five star review. |

| It's like that time Heinz pretended it was going to discontinue Salad Cream so that everyone (in the UK and Ireland at least) would go and only to have a 'change of heart' and reverse the decision. Or... Something something stunted-size Bounty bars. _________________ Have you ever seen a Squonk's tears?

| It's all a bit silly, as if we've all been lied to. Much as I love (historic) Neighbours, someone kill it already. |
