Coincidentally, Blue Peter turns 60 in 12 days time. Are they having the usual milestone celebrations?

Shelley the Tortoise might still be on the show. Excited

I've just seen a trailer on BBC Two for Blue Peter's 60th birthday celebrations - starting next Tuesday at 5pm on BBC One The CBBC Channel. Excited

Lots of former presenters were shown together. Excited

Today's the 60th birthday and celebrations! cheer

I didn't realise/had forgotten the show had moved to Salford. The fact it's not at BBC Television Centre anymore is a huge loss, much like Coronation Street moving from Granada Studios. :(

It was beyond iconic though, for so many TV shows, and its closing was literally the end of an era.
