Eggywobbles Empty Eggywobbles

Post by Nightjar on Sun Oct 21, 2018 8:28 pm

Eggs.

Eggos.

Eggoids.

Egglets.

Eggywobbles.

Uggs.

Egg Boots.

Nifty albumin/yolk combos.

Ovums.

Not by Kinder and with a toy in.

Bird Roe.

...

Whatever you choose to call them, we all love and fear them in equal measure.

We may put them on a pedestal or cower in fear as they lurk menacingly in the egg box in the kitchen.

We may wish to do both of those but are all over the shop because Eros and Thanatos are so impossibly compromised in our demented minds.

Anyway, how do you like them done?

Or do you shun them as oviparaiahs?

And, naturellement, affichez tout ce qui concerne vos nombreux besoins en œufs.

whatever

My favourite egg dishes are -

Tesco (not Sainsburys) Spanish tortilla (potato and onion omelette)
Scrambled egg between two slices of toast and marmite
Egg mayonnaise sandwich filler

That occurred to me too, but I decided that the sandwich clause was perfectly adequate.

And I forget egg and chips!

Surely that's covered by the fried and scrambled options. Fried or scrambled eggs are still fried or scrambled eggs, chips or no chips.

BTW, let me clarify a couple of points...

By "In some kind of sandwich (normal)" I mean like a fried egg sandwich with or without brown sauce, or egg and cress or egg mayonnaise.

By "In some kind of sandwich (posh)" I mean like eggs benedict, or eggs florentine or a croque madame or something else fancy and foreign.

I have voted for boiled eggs, poached eggs, Scotch eggs and those eggs that live inside pork pies.

Interesting to see boring traditional boiled eggs leading the poll.

I remember doing a simulare thread in the HotW. But it only had six options, including chocolated eggs.
Obviously alot had happened in egg cooking since then.
