The middle third wasn't as interesting or entertaining as the first and final thirds but it was, overall, an admirable album, mixing modernity with retro.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I've heard it a hundred times, but it was nice on this occasion to listen closely to the songs that usually go under the radar. On the whole I found I appreciated them much more. The last track was a bit of an aimless affair, lacking the melodic dynamism that frequently raised many of the other songs well above merely OK. It's also an undeniably cool album by arguably the coolest mainstream band of all time.

It was my first thought, but I doubted myself cos NGBA is an acoustic and folky - albeit perky - song.
Still, it was the tune.
Weren't it?
