Perhaps Soliloquy For Lilith would be a better choice.
Or Homotopy to Marie?
That's considered to be NWW's first proper LP and a classic of sorts.
What does Stev-ButtonZ think?
I mean, "Lilith" is well over 2 hours long, but Salt Marie Celeste and Homotopy to Marie are roughly an hour long, so in line with Metal Machine Music.

That is not helping.
I say Homotopy to Marie because more stuff 'happens'.

Hold on. I just need to open up separate windows, so I can type and watch at the same time.

Track One.
Nothing seems to be happening. I have the volume at 102% which is a feature you have on Linux Mint. The volume can be turned up to about 150%. :spinaltap:

Music's started playing. I'm going to have to go on Wikipedia for a track listing.

The tune's not started yet. The band are still tuning up their instruments.

Spiritually, so far it's quite reminiscent of Mars from The Planet Suite.

It's quite dramatic, so far.

9 minutes in.
Still tuning up.
They've only tried two notes, so far. I don't know how they'll be able to tell if their instruments are in tune just from doing that.

It's on the left channel. They're using stereo.

Is this about the boat? Is this why it sounds sort of like the swelling and falling of the tide?

Anyway, I know what happened to the crew of the Mary Celeste.
The daleks chased them off the ship.
I saw it in a documentary.
