I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the song ‘Carrie’. Is it to do with the film of the same name?
I can imagine Cliff doing it justice…
I smelled the whiskey on his breath. Then he took me. He took me, with the stink of filthy roadhouse whiskey on his breath, and I liked it, I liked it.

Sadly, it has nothing to do with the movie.
It is, however, his greatest single and possessed of a darkness that one rarely hears in a Cliff single.

I recognise it now I’m listening.
I don’t look to Cliff for darkness. I enjoy Miss You Nights and Millennium Prayer. Those are his two best ones. I have to listen to them alone. My mother, brother, and son would all take the **** if they knew I turn up the radio when Miss You Nights makes a rare appearance. No friends have made any attempt to understand or treat me with compassion either. ‘Midnight diamonds stud my heavens’ is such an atmospheric line. It’s for these twinkles of light that I enjoy Cliff, and cheer on his love of cruising.

Fangy's is fine.
For some reason, StevieBachyGuestyButttonyBaby's becomes too wide if I narrow the window to make room for a second window when doing a running commentary.
Then, it encroaches upon the left-hand side his posts and semi-obscures them.
