The cash cash money thread
I have received a substantial Christmas present in monetary form
I'm thinking of using it to buy one of those media player boxes for the kitchen, so I don't have to keep putting stuff onto CD-R in order to play it on the car stereo I currently have in there.

Re: The cash cash money thread
Two weeks ago, I was sent a £45 refund from a former energy supplier. I have paid it into my bank account.

I have just pur-choiced a Bluetooth receiver, that was I can play my musik on my phone straight into that old JVC stereo I bought in the summer without having to walk over to it.

Ooh that's a good idea. But it would place a heavy toll on my phone battery.

I have just successfully applied for a credit card
I wanted a Mastercard one so I'd have a backup in case the Visa network falls over again
I got the approval email before I'd finished writing down the secret application code number

Re: The cash cash money thread
I have, in the last few days, received my first contactless card. As the only thing I ever used cash for was bus fares, as of Monday, I shall officially be a non-user of cash.

I refuse to use contactless cards
Re: The cash cash money thread
Bus fares are definitely the only thing I'll be using it for.

Now i'm worried there'll be no money in my bank account when I next check it.

My new credit card has arrived.
The credit limit is much bigger than I expected.
It's more than I paid for my car.

Re: The cash cash money thread
Can we change the title of this thread from "The cash cash money thread" to "Cash Rules Everything Round Me - C.R.E.A.M. dollar dollar bill y'all!"?

Re: The cash cash money thread
I'd like to but I can't, because the title commemorates Philip Pope's pastiche of 'Chiz'n'Dez' singing their hit Cash Cash Money.
