Data will, at some point, say, "But, Captain, was it not the great Russian novelist Boris Pasternak who once said...?"

I watched 2 episodes of The Simpsons this evening. alien
I had to miss episode 3 of The Split 'cause it clashed with Eurovision, so won't bother with the rest of it. Ep 2 wasn't much cop anyhow sad shake even though Nicola Walker is fab. @

The smiley usage is characteristic of Babycakes. Or of someone impersonating him.

I cannot believe that I missed King Kong Lives (1986) - the sequel to the 1976 KK - on on Horror today! bawl

What's more, it clashed with Fire Maidens from Outer Space (1956) on on Talking Pictures. bawl

Don't the schedulers have any sense of responsibility to the viewing public? rant

These are the RT reviews...

I think that you'll agree that these films really needed watching. Colbert

King Kong Lives (1986)

Rating: 1/5 stars

As if the 1976 remake of King Kong wasn't bad enough, producer Dino de Laurentiis and director John Guillermin sink to even more ludicrous depths with this awful sequel. The giant ape didn't die when he fell off the World Trade Center ten years earlier, and now Linda Hamilton leads a surgical team attempting to revive him with a giant artificial heart. Meanwhile, back in the jungle, Indiana Jones-style adventurer Brian Kerwin has discovered a female Kong - with breasts! Although there is some demented fun to be had - the transplant operation uses laughably over-sized medical props - this couldn't be worse if it tried. How did anybody keep a straight face?

Fire Maidens from Outer Space (1956)

Rating: 1/5 stars

Just what the world needed - an even dafter British version of the infamous space exotica romp Cat Women of the Moon. Life is such a trial for the female lost civilisation of Atlantis, stranded on the 13th moon of Jupiter. They wear bathing suits with little skirts, lie around in flames all day for extra energy, perform dances to Borodin's music and fight a lumpy-faced creature in ill-fitting tights. Instant has-been Anthony Dexter is the astronaut determined to rescue the alien damsels from this terrible existence. Despite the extensive use of classical music, beating Stanley Kubrick's similar 2001 ploy by more than a decade, this is bottom-of-the-barrel lunatic nonsense that has to be seen to be believed.

Riker recognises it.

Now they're stuck in a cave.
