Re: The Weather Thread Part 2.
I have just finished a long project to painstakingly copy out the daily weather reports for the nearest coastal town to Fanchester from the newspaper archives, for the years 1972-1982, representing the period from my earliest memory to when I started writing a diary.
The idea being that at least if I know what the weather was like that day, I can imagine what I might have done on that day.
So frexample, 45 years ago today it was quite a sunny day, warmer than today at 50 F (10 C) and with a small amount of rain. It was a Sunday so I was probably taken out in the car to run around in a country park somewhere.

Hail. Rain. Against my Window waking me up all throughout the night.

It wasn't half raining earlier but it's stopped now. I'm glad it's my work-at-home morning.

It was all crisp and silvery-grey in a bright and shimmery way this morning.
Now it's just grey and dreary.
Now it's just grey and dreary.

It's time to have a bowl of steaming oxtail soup and a glass of Burgundy.

By the time I posted that I'd already had a chicken and bacon roll (reduced to £1.48), a canned G&T and two glasses of organic pin grig.

That will explain some of your posts last nite, beef frenzy.

It's a dark dull dismal afternoon here at Fangirl Industries.
