When things aren't m*ving smoothly...

Somewhere.

Anyway, I've had seven eggs in the last 24 hours (4 scrambled, 3 boiled) and I think there's some truth in it.


PS - this thread isn't about eggs necessarily, but eggs may enter the equation at various points.

Gotta say if you ate those eggs sooner than 24 hours ago, they can't be b*nging you up yet. The average 'digestive transit time' is 24-36 hours (mine appears to be about 30 hours).

Frinstance I had some delicious egg sandwiches for lunch at a volunteer cafe this morning, and they won't be affecting my output until tomorrow evening or Wednesday morning.

Things tend to go through like the proverbial dose of salts.

I'm right bunged up at the moment. If you imagine me saying that in a lugubrious Lancashire accent, you'll understand how uncomfortable I am.

My nan always recommended people drink loads of orange juice in such a situation.

I've tried all manner of things - brown rice, bean soup, even the old 'two tins of fruit cocktail' manoeuvre which sorted out the great Cramps Crisis of 2018 which led to me calling NHS 111. But there's nowt will shift it.

And the more c*nst*p*t*d I get, the more northern I get. I'll be in Carlisle soon if I don't sort this out.

Curiously enough, I've just made a relatively lengthy and impassioned post about the best way to make scrambled eggs over on reddit.

Coincidence or something altogether more eggregiously sinister?
