Just those three items, not the rest of the shop.

This is nice...

I'm hoping when my son goes to uni, he'll get somewhere cool like this where his mummy can come and party. He is set on being an architect. Or an airline pilot. But it's narrowed down to those two options after a period of several options and none.

I took him to see the new Marshall building at the LSE, and then on a larger tour of brutalist originals, and he was completely enthused and very knowledgable. Held his own with an architect friend that met us for lunch that day - I was third wheel.

Those stacked books are embarrassingly, idiotically, pretentious awful.

Also, that plant in the basket is doing my head in.

Books shouldn't be stacked horizontally. I like the bookshelves otherwise, particularly the ones over the lintel.

Perhaps, but that stupid ladder isn't long enough to safely reach the books towards the centre of that shelf. rant

Well I like it. If you'd seen the state of my sons bedroom, you'd hope for an upgrade to embarrassingly, idiotically, pretentiously awful too. Only recently did I discover he'd torn up and thrown out the carpet - apparently over a year ago, but because he keeps everything on the floor I didn't notice. Evidently it was 'marked', so he did it during the night to buy himself a reprieve from my wrath. I like the plant in the basket, and I like the books.

I'm only relieved to know I have imparted some wisdom to him - quietly and discreetly dump items like old carpets and furniture in the middle of the night.

I agree. I think it looks great. Maybe an idea for your new house.

Those shelves of bottles have too much of a supermarket drinks aisle feel.
