So, my Freeview Channel 8 is London Live which is owned by Russian oligarch Alexander Lebedev (owner of the rag ES and, apparently also The Independent).

It shows a mix of complete crud ('documentaries' about football hooligans presented by Danny Dyer, films about football hooligans (occasionally starring Danny Dyer), old episodes of various programmes of various genres (but not any good ones for ages) and, like Talking Pictures - Freeview channel 81, the occasional gem of a movie.

Also, very late at night they show tawdry British soft-p*rn movies like Come Play With Me or The David Galaxy Affair.

Oh, and boxing from York Hall and grotty MMA matches.

Right now it would appear that they're starting to show matinees of Children's Film Foundation movies!
