| I am very disappointed that I've missed most of the brilliant and quite scary movie Impulse on on Talking Pictures - Freeview Channel 81. Next time it's on I recommend that 'people' watch it. I saw it when it when it was shown on on the BBC many many years ago and it really creeped me out.  It's creeping me out right now even though it's half way through and I've just turned it on.

| The really quite good minor thriller See No Evil (1971) is on on Talking Pictures - Freeview Channel 81 tonight.It's got Mia Farrow and George and Mildred's grumpy neighbour in it and it's directed by Richard Fleischer who did 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Fantastic Voyage and The Boston Strangular and 10 Rillington Place and Tora! Tora! Tora! and The Vikings and Compulsion and Soylent Green and, er... Amityvile 3-D and, um...Conan the Destroyer.And Red Sonja.  Anyway, it's quite good and the people at the Radio Times can go and f*rt off for giving it 2/5 stars.

| Talking Pictures - Freeview Channel 81 today has a pretty remarkable back to back schedule from early evening all the way through to the small wee hours. 7pm - The Day the Earth Caught Fire - British sci-fi doomsday thriller from 1961 9pm - Gumshoe - dark comedy crime thriller with Albert Finney from 1971 10:40pm - Bedazzled - the Cook and Moore original from 1967 12:40am - Bad Blood - grim, compelling and violent Kiwi film from 1982 That's nearly eight hours of good movies that is. Surely some kind of record for Talking Pictures - Freeview Channel 81 I reckon.

| Much to my surprise I find that my recording of Nu Who worked last weekend. So I've set it to record Bedazzled too. Do I have to keep the TV switched on or will it wake up automatically?  |
