Howling Bells' first album reached Number 92 on the UK album chart, and four of its five singles reached the Top 200. None of them reached the Top 100.

It peaked at Number 53 on the album chart of their native Australia and all but one of its singles failed to make the Top 200 there. But one of its singles peaked at Number 76.

With massive commercial success like that under its belt, it's no surprise the album was a finalist for the Australian Music Prize Award and a nominee for the Shortlist Music Prize.
