One-man Beatles or One-man Herman's Hermits?

This guitar is very Pilot-esque.

He's bothered with an epic final track.
Respect to him for that.

Just back from my 'exercises' all sweaty. And a little greasy from the lotion.

It is over.
I felt that was an inoffensive album that was marred by a general sense of ordinariness, songwriting-wise, and lacklustreness vocally. Basically, it was aspiring to do what more gifted people have done in the past but without the inspiration to be able to pull it off.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

Y'know, I think that despite it's shortfalls and dead-ends it's a genuinely good album.
Truly unfashionable I know, but then that's one of the things I've been forced to accept as arguably the coolest aspects of my very existence.
He had a brief, yet effulgent moment in the limelight of of the mainstream Poposphere and it clearly didn't sit well with him.
He's a talented pub singer ultimately, but I feel he nonetheless used his studio time well, both for good and for ill - in folly and triumph.
A bad but strong boxer always has a puncher's chance and BDB is a good but sloppy busker.
He swung - he missed!
He swung - he hit!
Give the beardy twerp a break.
