A charming interpretation of classic 'songbook' numbers by a pioneer of the post-war recording age.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike.

Nonetheless, it didn't really inflame the senses.

Something of a churlish comment perhaps, but as someone who's listened TO A LOT OF FOLK over the years not one that rings altogetherly hollowy.
