Re: What's that in your Mouth?
I've just had two Brandy Alexanders!
1:1:1 of the second better than the 1:1:2 (2=brandy), which was too strong, right John Lennon on Waitress fuel!

Re: What's that in your Mouth?
I've just had a Tesco car park picnic: carrot sticks and humus, hot hash browns and two miniature pork pies.

Re: What's that in your Mouth?
I've just had my usual hotel breakfast consisting of: 1 apple, 1 orange, 2 pitta breads and 2 Babybel lites. And a cup of coffee.

I'm going to have a tin of new potatoes, and a tin of beans + sausages, mixed together and secretly heated in the hotel bathroom using my patent bowl-in-a-bowl method (fill outer bowl from kettle).

Re: What's that in your Mouth?
I have never, ever - since of the brand's very genesis - found any of Linda McCartney's vegetarian offerings to my taste.
They have always been, to my palate, grainy, dry and blandly salty.
Very unsophisticated.
However...
Yesterday I bought some of 'Her' frozen 1/4 LB mozzarella burgers (currently on offer at Sainsbur for just £1).
They're really gr8.
One of the best veggie burgers I've ever tried.
Cleverly constructed with mozzarella running throughout (rather than oozing out the middle like garlic butter in a Chicken Kiev), meaning the whole thing had an effectively toothsome, meaty 'boing' to it with good amount of fatty, juiciness.
It was also well seasoned and had a pleasant umami, savoury flava.
Also, when fried, the surface gets all caramelised and nice like a proper beefburger.
Good 'n chunky too.
8/10
A serving suggestion, yesterday.

Re: What's that in your Mouth?
Yes, I like them as well. I think it's the cheese that makes it.

Re: What's that in your Mouth?
Yes, when I bought them I was, as I said above, assuming that there'd be all mozzarella in the middle all oozing out (which would be a bit boring), but the fact that it's sort-of blended into the burgie makes the whole thing very meaty and juicy in texture.
I think it helps the surface get all caramelised too - like on halloumi.

Re: What's that in your Mouth?
I don't like vegetarian products that rely on cheese for protein and/or flavouring. I like honest, down-to-earth soya-based products like Tesco Meat-free Meat-style burgers
https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/254972122
If I want to add cheese onto them, that's my choice.

I feel intimidated, hectored and humiliated by this comment.

I'm about to eat a dead chicken.
After that, I'm going to fast for 48 hours in my quest to overcome histamine intolerance.
Is it even possible to survive for 48 hours without food?
