Did he ever make it onto TV here? I only really know him from something he did with Grace Jones, and I've seen his name and/or face on various occasions over the years. I presume he was a household name in America.

I remember staying at a friend's house, getting up in the morning, looking in the mirror and I'd got criss-cross red lines over one side of my face. After a brief moment of panic, I realised the pillowcase I'd had my head on had got raised criss-cross lines on it.
