Bitcoin's now only 18% higher than it was 3 months ago.

Ethereum's only 37% higher than it was back then.

Both are around 30% lower than they were 6 months ago.

Bitcoin is 22% lower than it was a year ago.

Ethereum is 72% higher than it was a year ago.

Bitcoin is 3,508% higher than it was 5 years ago.

Ethereum is 1,241% higher than it was back then.

I'm almost scared to look at this morning's prices, given yesterday's nightmarish slide.

But I'm going to do it anyway.

Bitcoin is now down to $42,468, which means I'm back in deficit again.

Etherum is holding more or less steady at £2,464. I'm not sure if that still leaves me in profit or not, as I've not worked out what my break-even figure is for it.

Still stuck in the doldrums.

Bitcoin is down to $40,214.

Ethereum is down to £2,332.

Both are now starting to recover, though.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are both on the mend at the moment but still lower than they were a week ago.

Bitcoin is up just 6.84% on where it was 3 months ago.

Ehtereum is up 16% on where it was 3 months ago.

Yesterday morning, Bitcoin plummeted to just $38,798.

It has since recovered to $40,731.

Ethereum has performed similarly.

I see bitcoin is back below 40k today. Though that seems primarily due to the strength of the dollar against all currencies.

Yes, it's spent the last two weeks just hovering around the $40,000 mark. Occasionally rising above it and occasionally dropping below it but making no decisive moves either way.

It's doing noticeably better against the pound.

Against the pound, it's up by nearly 2% over the last 5 days but, against the dollar, it's down by 0.19%.

That's good news, assuming you intend to convert it back to pounds one day.
