Hardly any of that feels Christmassy to me.

Is it the David Lean version?

Alastair Sim's Scrooge was on Channel no. 5, but I forgot to mention it.
I'm now watching my stolen copy of Rudoph the Red Necked Reindeer. :reindeer:

Following the success of Carol Reed's version of Oliver Twist, it was only a matter of time before someone suggested another musical Dickens. Mercifully the songs were out - could you imagine It's a Kind of Magwitch? What's left is a retelling of Pip's progress in which the majority of scenes seem to be staged solely for the benefit of the big production number that never arrives and, consequently, tell this superbly crafted story in the most simplistic way. Only Margaret Leighton's Miss Havisham rings true, with Michael York (Pip), Sarah Miles (Estella) and James Mason (Magwitch) all miserably miscast.

It's the only version of Great Expectations I've ever seen.

Gosh, the internet is a confusing place, the Tom Petty thing led me to crying my eyes out over a clip of the Come On Up To The House Tom Waits sequence in OITNB series 2

I'm currently watching The Jungle Book, on BBC1, on the iPlayer.

It's a live action version.

The Jungle Book shouldn't be a live action film. It should be a cartoon, with songs in it, like Rudyard Kipling intended.

This film is so dark it's impossible to tell what's happening in it. It's like Alien v Predator II all over again.
