Despite being a fan on Michael Jackson, I had heard literally nothing about this, leading me to wonder if it's actually THE Michael Jackson or someone else with the same name.

And there was me thinking it could have been retired British Army officer General Sir Mike Jackson.

And that means that Three Lions by David Baddiel, Frank Skinner & The Lightning Seeds is up 23 places to claim the Number One slot on the UK singles chart.

Let's remind ourselves how that brand new UK Number One goes.

Well that campaign went well...
And in other news, Vindaloo by Fat Les is a re-entry at number 41 and World in Motion by EnglandNewOrder is a re-entry at number 48. I think the priorities are a bit wrong there.
It seems both those songs have peaked lower than even more recent World Cup years, yet Three Lions has outperformed its previous (more recent) peaks. How is that even possible? Why hasn't World in Motion especially done well this time around?

The problem with World in Motion is that you can't sing it on the terraces and it will therefore always be put in the shade by Three Lions.
