Subject: Seemingly normal songs that are in fact weird Sat Dec 01, 2018 8:13 pm
I was just searching through my eyeTunes for some London-themed tunes and I noticed this tune and thought, "oh, it's one of those sweet and enjoyable Macca trax most people are embarrassed to admit they like", but then I listened to it (the LP version) all the way through...
What a strange song it seemed to be.
Really strange production to start with - all oily and sunk in a brackish mire - and then the structure...
I found the whole thing a bit

I've always loved that song and the album version is a magnificent beast but I agree that the rest of the album is a bit strange.

Was that the album about which Lennon said McCartney sounded depressed on it?

My fave tunes that Alan Partridge definitely wouldn't play on Anti-London Night:
Day On The Town - Madness London - The Smiths London's Burning and/or Calling - The Clash London Loves - Blur Primrose Hill - Madness Waterloo Sunset - Kinks
