| Although I still listened to the charts and bought new music at the time, I don't really have fond memories of 1996 at all so I'm not looking forward to that year of Top of the Pops. 1996 might just be my annus horribilis. |

| 1997 and 1998 were two of my better years, though I'm not nostalgic about the music of those years at all, and Top of the Pops got a boring upgrade around that time. |
