I just take it as a given nowadays that any reissue of anything will be full of mistakes, 'improved' effects and cuts for copyright reasons.

I don't like bare floorboards. They may look nice and rustic but to actually live with them is another thing. My mum and dad had them for a while and they were so clunky underfoot and the dogs used to go skidding round on them. They make the room echoey and cold too. Give me a nice carpet any day. happy

I like them, the warm colour and clean lines of a wooden floor are well worth the cold in winter and the creaking noises.

And even those last two have their positive side: the room is nice and cool in summer, and if anyone breaks in while I'm asleep, the creaking will wake me up.
