I have voted for Sporty, as she actually made a record I can remember.

Re: Spice Girls
None. I despised them as a group and individually.
I have been converted to appreciating Victoria Beckham and own a couple of pieces of her clothing.

Re: Spice Girls
I like the Spice Girls.
Wannabe was, and remains to this day, an abomination, but most of their other hits were quite good by general pop standards and they were very much a major part of the zeitgeist during a very 'interesting' phase of my life.
PS - I was seriously into dr*gs when they came to prominence.

Yes, "That one she did with Bryan Adams." a.k.a. "That one she did with Bryan Adams where she sang every word he sang in exactly the same key at exactly the same time (no harmonies, or overlapping vocals or anything)".

Re: Spice Girls
It must be said that do actually own two Spice Girls CD singles.
"Too Much" and "Viva Forever", the latter of which I personally consider to be their proper 'farewell' single.

Re: Spice Girls
I have only physically touched one Spice Girls CD. It was at a party and someone had brought it along as their contribution to festivities. I snapped it in half and told the owner a fat person must've accidentally danced on it.

Re: Spice Girls
Spice Girls released stuff on vinyl?! I have a number of Spice Girls CDs but no vinyl.
Actually, I remember the week their debut album Spice was released seeing it on the display stands, mostly CDs of course, but there was also a handful of Spice LPs. I presume they were made in very limited numbers.

Re: Spice Girls
I also voted for Geri.
She was and is the most colourful member of the band - the one with a 'past' and the one who claimed a future outside the band first.
Of course she was and is ghaaaaastly daaaahling, but she was somewhat smarter in an instinctual manner than the rest, getting herself on SitC etc.
Of course the one with the most instinctive cockroach-like smarts was Victoria who, long before Geri ever thought of marrying a sporting multimillionaire, feathered her nest in grand style.
I guess because she was least talented and least charming member of the group it was necessary for her to do so.
Anyway, I don't mind Mel B 'cause she's a good, honest, dysfunctional human being and it's obvious that Mel C is the most genuinely nice, down-to-earth one.
Bunton is of course just meh.

Re: Spice Girls
I vehemently disagree that Victoria Beckham is without talent or charm. I think she has both, just not musically. I also think it's totally unfair to insinuate she was a gold digger - she was a multimillionaire in her own right, and she's now far more successful than he is, both as a name and financially.
He brought more money and fame in the middle years of their marriage, and now she does. They probably pulled equal weight in the beginning - but she's the reason he's not just another retired footballer known only to Gen X club fans. It's clear it was genuine young love for both of them.

I read "SitC" as "SSC".
