That's followed by Foster being brainwashed into challenging Straker's authority.

Catch-22 is on BBC4 at 9 o'clock. It is a new TV series, not the old film.

Which is best? MASH or Catch-22?

I predict this will be the match of the tournament, so far.

The BBC'll probably run a commentary for a totally different game over it.

I think tonight's first UFO episode it the one where Commander Straker's trapped in a submarine at the bottom of the sea.

The second episode sees a rural family disturbed by a trespasser who might be an alien.

Watching MASH is better than watching the old Catch-22 film. Reading Catch-22 is better than reading some book adaptation of MASH which probably exists.

MASH doesn't have Art Garfunkle being beheaded in it.

I've just put Star Trek TNG on. They've just modified the teleport to instant transfer Picard the distance it would have take the Enterprise at Warp 9 20 minutes to travel.
Well, there you go, the entire logic of Star Trek transport destroyed for a pointless plot script error.

I'll have to read Catch-22 again, I can't tell if I'm mixing this up with Kid Sampson being cut in half. I know Garfunkel's character Nately gets killed on a mission but I don't remember him being beheaded.

I thought it was him that was standing of a raft and is accendtly hit by someone showing off in a light airplane.
It's been decades since I've last seen it. I'm probably thinking of a different film or something.
I don't even remember this bit:

No that definitely happens in the Catch-22 film, and in the book, except in the latter it's not a light aircraft but one of their actual working bombers.
But confusion abounds, because that character who gets bisected accidentally one summer afternoon, Kid Sampson, isn't listed in the film cast at all, so I really don't know what's going on in the film with regard to the whole raft/dismemberment thing.

Up first was the 1969 Martin D-35 Gilmour used on Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, as heard on the title track. The guitar, which was estimated at $10,000 to 20,000, sold for $1,095,000,
Gilmour's Olympic White "#0001" Fender Stratocaster took in $1,815,000 after a four-minute bidding war
