| Despite her huge fame, I've just realised I've never seen a Diana Dors film. But have you seen a Diana Dors film and, if so, which one(s) and which is/are your fave(s)? _________________ |

| I've seen a dozen-or-so of those films*. One I haven't seen however is West 11, which, I'm assuming, is about my old stamping ground and is thus highly intriguing to me and makes me wonder whether my friend Tom Vague is aware of it. * Oliver Twist (1948) as Charlotte Doctor at Sea (1955) as Party Guest (uncredited) Yield to the Night (1956) as Mary Price Hilton Berserk! (1967) as Matilda Deep End (1970) as Mike's 1st lady client There's a Girl in My Soup (1970) as His Wife Hannie Caulder (1971) as Madame The Amazing Mr. Blunden (1972) as Mrs. Wickens the Housekeeper Nothing but the Night (1973) as Anna Harb Theatre of Blood (1973) as Maisie Psaltery Steptoe and Son Ride Again (1973) as Woman in Flat From Beyond the Grave (1974) as Mabel Lowe (segment 2 "An Act of Kindness") Craze (1974) as Dolly Newman Adventures of a Taxi Driver (1976) as Mrs North Confessions from the David Galaxy Affair (1979) as Jenny Stride Steaming (1985) as Violet (final film role) _________________ Ibble obble black bobble, ibble obble out!

| Yield to the Night is a loose version of the Ruth Ellis story incidentally. In case anyone 'round here wants any more death threat inspirations... _________________ Ibble obble black bobble, ibble obble out!

| I think I've seen Doctor at Sea, or I might be mixing it up with Carry On Cruising.
They showed that version of Oliver Twist at school once but I sneaked off home in the confusion while everyone was going to the assembly hall to watch it. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| Who was she in Oliver Twist 1948? That's my favourite version and I didn't know she was in it. On that basis, yes I have seen a Diana Dors film. |

In case anyone 'round here wants any more death threat inspirations... There's nothing wrong with Ruth. She's one of my favourite neighbours who lived here before me. I'm very proud to share an address with such an icon. And anyway, I apologized for that misunderstanding. Like Nightjar, I haven't seen West 11 but am going to look out for it. It intensely annoyed me that my flat was one block away and therefore in W2. It felt fraudulent to pass that off as Notting Hill, but it definitely wasn't Bayswater. Neither could I use Westbourne Park, because that was the name of the road, and roads with the same name as the area irritate me. I was forced to have it as Notting Hill W2. My sons birth certificate gives the address as 'Paddington W2'. You can imagine my upset. One of life's many little insults. |
