He's pointed at it.
And it's turned into his own reflection.
I assume this signifies that it is he who is the true monster.

But he seems to be very happy about that.

I don't understand the ending at all. I need to do research to make sense of it.

this is great. IDK, compared to some of the weak ass massive budget movies, this 12 minute movie has more going for it than.....TLJ or any modern horror flick lol

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankenstein_(1910_film)#PlotWikipedia wrote:The monster, broken down by his attempts to be with his creator, enters the room, stands before a mirror and holds out his arms.
Gradually, the monster fades away, leaving only the image in the mirror.
A moment later Frankenstein enters. As he stands directly before the mirror, we see the image of the monster reflected instead of Frankenstein's own.
Gradually, however, under the effect of love and his better nature, the monster's image fades and Frankenstein sees himself in the mirror.
His bride joins him, and the film ends with their embrace, Frankenstein's mind now being relieved of the awful horror and weight it has been laboring under.
What a load of cobblers. I wanted it to tear someone's head off.

The Edison Company wrote:In making the film, the Edison Co. has carefully tried to eliminate all repulsive situations and concentrate upon the mystic and psychological problems that are to be found in this tale. Whenever the film differs from the original story, it is purely with the idea of elimination of what would be repulsive to a moving picture audience.

To be fair, it did have more going for it than The Last Jedi.

Re: The silent horror movie running commentary thread
It took an unexpected turn with all the reflection stuff. But I expected the monster to angrily smash the mirror.
