As we all know, Nirvana had a walloping bit hit in the early 1990s which summed up the disaffectedness of a generation and had a guitar riff you could sing along to.
But, as we all know, that wasn't the only song ever to use that riff. So, here's where we can post any examples we come across of records that used that riff or similar.
Is this the earliest one ever to use it? El Loco Cha Cha Cha by René Touzet, way back in 1956.

For me, that song captures the emptiness of youth far better than Smells Like Teen Spirit does. In fact, just listening to it makes me go .

I've just realised Jefferson Starship's Jane is built on that riff as well.

Inspired by the Rocking awesomeness of that track, I gave bits of the album it came from a listen, to see if it was suitable for a running commentary thread, but it sounded totally limp.
