| There's a sense of de j'au fait with these songs, but the song-writing craft is undeniable. _________________ Have you ever seen a Squonk's tears?

| I'm assuming this one was planned to be a single.
The singles on this don't sound like the rest of the album, in terms of production. _________________ |

| This one even has a go at being total cr*p, but there are so many exciting chord/key changes and tempo modulations it belies its obvious banality. _________________ Have you ever seen a Squonk's tears?

Yes it is. That explains why it's more subtle, and lighter on its feet than the other tracks. _________________ |

| It is over. I feel I'd need to give it a second listen before formulating a clear opinion on it, as I was somewhat overwhelmed by the sheer Bee Geesness of it. It seemed competent enough but also felt like it was designed to be listened to while sipping cocktails with cherries in them. I did feel it was an album that lacked a sense of space, with every track feeling very full. The singles were definitely the highlights of the album. Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it. _________________ |
