ABBA's final and darkest album  saw them exploring brave new directions that, thanks to their break-up, would never be explored beyond this point. It saw a major downturn in their commercial fortunes but how has it stood the test of time?

No hints on that cover that things weren't all as they should be within the band.

BTW, I like the album cover a lot.

It reminds me a bit of Rattus Norvegicus.

This makes me hope that ABBA will be taking on a surly post-pub-rock attitude and a sleazy, generally unsavoury turn.

Of course there will be complex harmonies and meticulously crafted, delightful pop melodies, but the overhanging atmosphere will probably be one of heroin addiction, p*ss stained phone boxes and swingeing misanthropy.
