It is over.
I found that a very uninvolving listen. The playing was competent but uninspired, with the drums being especially lifeless, and the songs themselves were poor.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Anyway, a marvy album.
Quite rough around the edges compared to some of their later albums, but still groovy as funk!
Really fun.
Lots of personality, soul and humour.
A very loveable band and an album that, despite it's possible shortcomings (not faults, DEFINITELY NOT FAULTS!) is as gently, forcefully funky and eccentrically soulful as any album of its genre.
It is of course an album that I hold dear personally and thus...
