Dusty Springfield - Reputation (1990).
After years in the wilderness, Dusty Springfield had a huge great big career-reviving album. Admittedly, it was only released in Britain and barely scraped into the Top 20 but, still, it was an improvement on normal.
Here's where we can relive that magical time.

It's a great album, very late 80s in sound, and features a who's who of famous producers and writers, including the Pet Shop Boys of course. My CD version includes some bonus songs on top of what you see here.

From my experience, this album actually seems to rate very highly with the ultra critical pop fans (who even slate Stock Aitken Waterman from time to time). This, along with the Results album by Liza Minnelli, from around the same time, which also features heavy input from the Pet Shop Boys. Some seem to think of the two albums as a sort of Pet Shop Boys suite.

I love this song. It's one of those quintessentially 1980s singles.

Her voice is too low in the mix.
