| I've just discovered there's a new comet messing around in space. It's called Neowise and we can see it from Earth, in the sky, right now. How come I've not heard about this until now? _________________ |

| If you have a clear Northern horizon you can see the Comet right now, just been looking, visible with the naked eye, too low for me to get a tripod shot but it is the brightest comet I have ever seen. |

| Couple of Comet pics, very low on horizon through a gap in the trees with 55mm lens, it will get higher in the sky as the week goes on so hopefully if the weather stays good I will try with a proper mount and a longer lens. I seem to have a very noisy CCD so the dots are not stars. |

| God damnit, I had a lovely clear sky last night and I didn't bother to go out and look.
I haven't seen a good comet since Hale-Bopp. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| It's the best one that I have seen and I go back to Kahoutek in 1973. Will have a go with a bigger lens set up tonight, or I will try but you know it will be cloudy for the rest of the week.

| I've just seen the comet! With my 10x50 binoculars, by drawing a line from delta to beta Ursa Majoris and following it down towards the horizon.
The tail appears about 1½-2 degrees long and streams just to the east of straight up.
I can just about see it with the naked eye once I've found it in the binoculars. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

I can just about see it with the naked eye once I've found it in the binoculars. It's the second best comet I've seen - Halley was much fainter if I really saw it at all, and Hale-Bopp was miles better, that looked like a comet to the naked eye with much less effort. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses."
