I just saw the new Doctor Who being interviewed on the BBC and she said something like:

"As a kid, 90% of the people I looked up to on TV were men so it's good that there's now more females in roles."

Erm, speak for yourself. 90% of MY role models were women! Great women did exist on TV back then you know!

A prime example being Madge and Helen Daniels from Neighbours. They were far more powerful and made more of an impression on me than any man in that show. box
