...other than he/she/it survived the winter, with no further chips or incidents.

It's actually closer to a neighbouring house.

Re: Buddha in the Garden
I always think about the Buddha in the Garden whenever I'm pulling up bindweed.

Oh yes! There's actually less bindweed this year - probably due to me uprooting so much of it in previous years.

Re: Buddha in the Garden
I've just realised - Buddha in the Garden sits right next to a buddleia (in the Garden)!

That's the karmic reward Nightie promised you for freeing the Buddha from bindweed.
Re: Buddha in the Garden
The other day I noticed that the Buddha in the Garden had got a fallen leaf stuck on its head.
I wonder if that's a sign of something.

I still don't know what to do with said Buddha. It just sits in the garden at the furthest point from the house, facing the neighbouring house which sides onto the end of the garden.

Has anything else been stolen from the shed? (I've been reading the BITG thread from the OHOTW).

No. Not sure about the house at the end of the garden though which it permanently stares at.

Re: Buddha in the Garden
I can't believe that the Buddha would encourage theft.
Speaking of which, this morning I was just writing out a rude note to put through the rubbish dumpers' letterbox when the phone rang. It was one of the elders from the Quaker meeting that I go to very very occasionally, asking me (as they do every December) if I wanted to stay on their list of 'attenders'. I said yes I would. And then when she'd gone I thought, 'I bet Quaker principles wouldn't endorse my going ahead with this rude note. Quakers are urged to resolve disputes peacefully and not revengefully.' So I decided to think the note idea over for a bit first.
And that is my vaguely Buddha-related coincidence story.

As long as your note wasn't too "rude", I would say sending a note is probably one of the more peaceful ways to resolve a dispute.

Re: Buddha in the Garden
I've thought of a splendidly passive-aggressive approach if it happens again. I'll call on them that evening and ask if they happened to see who did the tipping. You know, all 'oh fellow neighbour, can you possibly help me with this awful thing that's happening'.
Then when I finish talking to them, I'll let them see me going to the next house to ask the same question, so they'll think I've been asking everyone.

I thought we agreed that BITG would be relocated to the end of Butters' bed

Yeah, instead of the 110' flatscreen telly that rises out of the foot of the bed like in a Premier League sh*tball player's 'boudoir'.
