It looks a bit.... staged, like neither of them has ever smoked before, sort of like how I'd hold a cigarette if ever presented with one.

Yes, that's the least enthusiastic smoking I've ever seen.
I notice though that the lady on camera left's fag has been smoked halfway down. Possibly by the photographer's assistant before handing it to her.
