It is over.

That was dull from start to finish. Every track was in the same tempo, had the same vibe and could have been cut in half to make it a single album.

Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it. Excited

It's an extraordinary album.

A wild, compromised, cynical as it is is soulful diamond in the rough.

I guess that it's inevitable that my personal experience with the album - thank you Camila, (my ex-wife) for letting me know it existed - is going to be profoundly different to everyone else's.

Also it helps that I love soul music as an a priori condition of of liking music generally...
