| There are currently no ships in the West Midlands. |

| There's currently a ship tens of miles inland towards Manchester! |

| I guess that'll be to do with the Manchester Ship Canal. |

| Fascinating. I can see that those people who [used to pre-pandemic] sell fish from their fishing boat in the market, are not currently out fishing.

| There's been a lot of back-and-forth between Brightlingsea and the Gunfleet Sands wind farm this morning. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| This needs a thread of it's own. |

| I wonder which of us is the most coastal NHOTWer?
I myself am a mere 700 yards from the nearest tidal water, and 7 miles from the actual sea.

| I didn't know they had ships in Scunthorpe. I am suddenly very impressed with the place. _________________ |

I didn't expect it to attract the masses. Perhaps Wendi could cut and splice a new thread, titled "Is there a ship sailing past your house?", from my post at 12:40am onwards. |

| Canalboat. Narrowboat. Barge. Aren't they all the same thing? Actually, I'm sure someone once told me that a barge was strictly for carry goods only, one of those more open top ones. Or is it the other way round? |

| I want more NHOTWers to participate in the 'Most Coastal NHOTWer' challenge. So that I can win. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| While driving the back way into the Braehead shopping centre this morning, I was shocked to see an enormous cruise ship looming over the trees. I hadn't previously known Braehead was that close to the river. Or that people were taking cruises to Glasgow.
I even saw several buses labelled CRUISE SHUTTLE making their way importantly towards it. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'
