I'll be up all night, waiting for the Easter Wombat to arrive.

It'll be flinging eggs at everyone.

And demanding to know why God's deserted it.

Suppose we need something for next year I guess, if we're still here that is.

I bought 4 hot cross buns today, ready for the occasion.

And I shall also be purchasing a creme egg for Sunday.

Be careful. Some of them have been recalled because of Salmonella.

At least they have at my local Heron.

I've now checked. It turns out its Kinder Eggs that have been recalled.

It does seem like Kinder are taking authenticity too far.

I thought it was Easter around now due to school holidays - but couldn't honestly pin it down to when during them it happens.

My mother said to me last week that she thought it was Easter, and we had a little conversation about when it actually might be - we know that a Sunday is definitely involved (but nothing about what's meant to be done on the day), and purely because of the Northern Ireland peace deal we are aware of 'Good Friday' being connected.

We've never marked Easter in any way in our family.

Do religiously observant people have Easter trees and things like that, or is it purely a chocolate based holiday?

I know about hot cross buns, but I can't recall ever having had one. I don't think they look very appealing tbh.

I had a 3rd hot cross bun for breakfast. I forgot to buy a creme egg yesterday, so I'll probably get one on my journey back to Essex on Sunday.

It's confusing this year because Easter is quite late, and so the schools are off for the 2 weeks before Easter rather than 1 week either side like they usually are.
