Easter update: I went out for a walk earlier, and took the opportunity to buy a creme egg from the Co-op.

I will be eating the 4th and final hot cross bun at tea-time.

I ate the bun as planned. I will be consuming the creme egg as part of my travelling lunch today. That will probably be a sandwich and crisps from Southwaite services, which I eat while driving. I find a lorry and trundle along behind it so as to be able to concentrate on eating.

I have a pink flamingo pen with Easter eggs.

I didn't buy any hot cross buns this year. You have to buy a minimum of 4, and I don't want 4.

A month ago I saw individual hot cross buns on sale in the M&S food shop attached to the petrol station at Annandale Water, but that's no good to me now.

I've never had a hot cross bun.

I always wait until Easter is over, in the assumption they'll be selling them off cheap but they never turn out to be selling them at all.

I'm having a rubbish Easter.

I can't top up my mobile data, I've got a sore throat, and I got stuck in bank holiday traffic on the way back to the hotel. Loads of bad-tempered people on their way to the Highlands.

This place in Essex does NOT reflect my mood.

They must have read that post, the 1pmobile web site has started working again.

I haven't either. Just the smell of hot cross buns makes me feel sick.

They have currenty things in the them, for goodness sake!  

There's only about three weeks to go.

It seems like ages since the last time it was Easter in March.

I’ve had a hot cross bun, once. Not for me.

Easter isn’t really something I do. I’ve really never understood it as a festival, moving around the calendar to an extent that makes it hard to keep track of. I mean, just pick a day - when was he crucified exactly - pin it down in the diary, and celebrate it like clockwork each year.

Easter is too hard to work out.
