Coming from the north on the M1 towards that no-longer-Debenhams, there is the most humongous factory in the background, all rust-coloured and soot-ridden. It looks like a leftover from the industrial revolution/Sheffield Steel days.

I've tried in the past but I cannot locate it on Google Maps. I've wondered if it's a sort of mirage, or prism of light in the shape of a humongous rust-coloured, soot-ridden factory.

Is it Forgemasters?

Blackburn Meadows is the big orange and black structure which I watched being built on previous drive-bys.

It's definitely over to the right/west/city side when heading south on the M1 - not the Rotherham side.

I THINK it's the building in the middle that looks like the roof has caved in - it looks much more "impressive" and sinister in real life.

Unsurprisingly, it's a steelworks (Finnish steel giants Outokumpu Oyj).

It does look quite menacing in truth...

I was about to say it might be Outokumpu but I was beaten to it.

They are, how you say, keeping dirty steel plant...

My god. Some landscaping wouldn't have gone amiss. I see a hint of a lake that they could've made more of.
