After my adventures in pale pink wine and scotch, I too had a drink-free Sunday.

Once again we have achieved synchronous temperance.

I had a rum in not one, but two cups of coffee. I feel little or no shame.

I'm once again bouncing with health after a drink-free Thursday.

Yesterday I experimented with having a drink-free night on my first day back at work. Usually it's my practice to have lots of wine that night as compensation, but I want to change things.

It went very well.

I did the above again, on a Monday for the first time since January 2018.

I went to bed at 8.40 and woke up full of enthusiasm at 4.20

Last week I went three whole days without a drink.

Tuesday!
Wednesday!
Thursday!

Now, that's not happened in an awfully awfully tragically long time.

The last time I did that was in August 2017

I've had two drink-free days in a row this week, Tuesday and Wednesday.

I woke up this morning feeling absolutely fighting fit

Funny you should say that - I've not had a drop of drink since Sunday evening.

I'm drinking wine.

Not too much mind.

I've agreed with myself to cut my drinking by 2/3s in the short term alone.

I'll be dead in 5 years if I don't.

I myself have made a similar pledge, starting with a weekly limit of 36 units.

I only had 8 units yesterday and it's given me a hangover after my two days of virtue.

I'm having an unscheduled drink-free day today.

Unusual for me to do that on a Sunday.

(When I say drink-free day, I don't mean that I'm usually drinking during the day. I'm an evening drink person.)

God I'd like a drink.

A beer really.

One of those mango, guava, etc spiked IPAs.

All I've got is wine and Scotch.
