| It is over. That was a mixed bag. The musicianship was excellent all the way through, as was the production, and the tunes were often impeccable but there was also a weirdness that didn't always work. However, when things did work, it was as good as Pop gets. Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it. _________________ |

| Well, apart from the surprise of hearing "Glass of Champagne" (and not remembering that it was done by Racey Sailor) and thinking that the bits that sounded exactly like "Virginia Plain" were quite good, that was an absolute horror show of '70s crapness.
It's times like this that I am, as someone who's nearly slavish to the 1970s culture-wise and will defend it potentially to the death, crestfallen and ashamed.
