I've been thinking of Anneka Rice every time I've seen this story.

When I read it, I initially got her mixed up with Sophie Anderton.

Annabel Giles is one of those people I never really knew what she did. She always just seemed to be a talking head for something or other. I do remember her doing a regular section on fashion or something on Going Live on Saturday mornings in the late 80s/early 90s.
